THE HYGIENISTS
SONYA
Sonya is a registered Dental Hygienist. She attended school at both Boise State University and Idaho State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in 1991. Sonya has been with the Carters since 1991. Soon after her graduation at Idaho State University she joined the Carter Family business as well as working in a busy Boise periodontal practice performing hygiene. She grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho, and moved to Boise to attend Boise State. Sonya keeps busy outside of the practice spending time with her family and in the great outdoors.
CHRIS
Chris was born and raised in Boise, ID and joined our team at Carter Family Dentistry in 2008. He attended both College of Idaho and Idaho State University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology in 2004 and his Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene in 2008. He has been working full-time as a dental hygienist ever since. Chris came highly recommended from his professors at Idaho State University, graduating with honors and was the winner in his dental hygiene graduating class of the prestigious Golden Gracey Award. When not at work, you can find Chris enjoying time with his wife, their rescue pup Nena, and doing anything outdoors including surfing, playing golf, volleyball, and hiking. They also make regular trips to Kauai, Hawaii, every year for his Island fix as he enjoys anything to do with water sports.
MICHELLE
Michelle grew up in Middleton, Idaho. After graduation she attended Boise State for her pre recs followed by 2 years at Idaho State University for the Dental Hygiene Program. Boise, Idaho has been her permanent home where she has worked for Carter Family Dentistry for 21 years! She is a mom to 2 kids 14 and 11. She enjoys fly fishing, camping, boating, woodworking, and any thing with her husband, kiddos, and friends.
